We are delighted to announce that September is a milestone month for Harlands as we have kickstarted 12 months of fundraising as part of our new charity campaign.
Our team are very excited to support this years awesome charity and we are delighted to announce that we are going to be raising money for DEBRA.
DEBRA is a charity ‘For People whose skin doesn’t work’ supporting individuals that are affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa. The charity is providing unbelievable support to a family member of one of the Harlands team with this condition so it is very close to our hearts. We have therefore decided to give something back to them for everything they have done so far and can't wait to get started.
Some of you may remember a documentary called, "The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off" which was launched in 2004 and was recorded in the North East. It was all about Jonny Kennedy, an extraordinary man with the Epidermolysis Bullosa condition. If you've not seen the documentary it's worth a watch and helps understand why we are supporting the charity. It can be watched on the Channel 4 on demand playerOver the following year we have a number of events and challenges in the office and across the North East and beyond which you may wish to take part in. (Don't worry, this will not include challenges to create a new excel formula is any pub quiz's on the tax legislation). The next challenges are as follows;
Overall, we've set an ambitious challenge for our first year as we look to raise £10,000, so we need your help! If you would like to make a donation to our campaign it can done via our Virgin money Giving Page
